I perform research within the field of rare inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) with a focus on the long chain fatty acid metabolism. For these disorders, we develop stem cell derived cardiac models in which we study disease mechanisms, stress and therapy responses in order to better understand the diseases and accelerate therapies.
